Nuxeo EP 5 Installer and Evaluation Guide

Nuxeo 5.1.5 is the current stable release of the Nuxeo application. It comes with an Evaluation Guide which you should also probably download.

Generic Java Installer

This installer works on Linux, Windows and Mac OS.

Download Nuxeo Enterprise Platform Generic Java installer 5.1.5.GA (105 Mb)

To install it, simply run "java -jar xxx.jar", or double-click on the .jar file from your desktop or file browser: this will launch an installation wizard that will install the application on your hard disk. Once the installation is completed, start the application server by using the "run" ("run.sh" or "run.bat") script in the "bin/" folder, then (after a while) point you browser to http://localhost:8080/nuxeo/ and log in using the "Administrator" account and "Administrator" password.

Prerequisite: you need a Java 5 JRE or SDK from Sun or another vendor to run the installer and then the application. Otherwise, everything is self-contained for running the demo web application, including the JBoss AS 4.0.5.GA application server.

Windows Installer

If you are using Windows, you may prefer to try out our Windows installer which comes with additional features, specific to the Windows platform:

It is also self-contained, except for the Java Runtime Environment that you must install by yourself.

ZIP and TGZ archives

One last option is to download Nuxeo EP as a ZIP or a tar.gz archive.

Evaluation Guide

You will probably want to also get the Nuxeo EP Evaluation Guide (PDF, 30 pages, 3 MB) that explains in more details how to install and evaluate the Nuxeo EP 5 demo web application.

For more information, visit the Nuxeo Enterprise Platform pages or the Nuxeo Documentation Site.
