Nuxeo EP 5.0.0.RC2 has been released yesterday 6 December 2006. It is the seconde candidate release of the Nuxeo 5 EP platform, the server-side part of the Nuxeo 5 open source ECM project.
The Nuxeo EP 5.0.0.RC2 platform, as well as a standalone web application that showcases the main features of the platform, are available as an auto-installable package (77 Mb), that only needs the Java 5 runtime environment to be installed and deployed (either directly click on the package from you browser, or download it and run the command “Java -jar nuxeo-5.0.0.RC-installer.jar” from a terminal, and then follow the instructions from the installer).
After installing the package, you will be able to log into the application on http://localhost:8080/nuxeo using login “Administrator” and password “Administrator”. The application showcases the following functions of the platform: document creation, edition and deletion, navigation, users and rights management, search, workflow.
